A lighting designer question

I received a great question yesterday via e-mail from our lighting designer and thought I'd share it with you!

Quick question about the upstage platform in Schooner (I attached a photo of the model with the part of the set in question). Have you, or do you see yourself blocking anything underneath this platform? I'm wondering if I should plan on lighting under there.
